Shower system installation means fixing the mixer tap, the rail with a rain shower and the hand shower to the wall and connecting them to the cold and hot water. We install exposed sets on the existing points and concealed systems whose body stays in the wall. Exposed shower system installation costs from €50, and we agree the price before the work starts.
A shower cabin is the tray, the walls and the doors. A shower system is the part the water comes from: the mixer, the diverter, the rain shower head and the hand shower. It is installed over a bath, in a tiled shower area or in an existing cabin, replacing the old mixer.

An exposed set needs two points already in the wall at the standard spacing, usually 150 mm. If the old mixer is at a different height, this is usually solved with the rail length and offset connectors rather than new points.
A concealed system looks cleaner, but it has to be planned: the depth of the body has to match the thickness of the wall and tiles, and once the wall is closed it can no longer be moved. A rain shower head is large, so it needs enough pressure and enough hot water. If the pressure in the apartment is weak, a large head gives only a slow, scattered spray. Before buying, it is worth checking the pressure: low water pressure.
A thermostatic mixer holds the set temperature even if someone turns on water at another tap. It protects against scalding, so it is often chosen by families with children and older people. The hot water must be connected to the thermostat's hot side; if the points in the wall are swapped, this is corrected during installation.
Shutting off the water
The apartment valves are closed, the old mixer is removed and, if they are worn or rusted, the offset connectors too.
Choosing the height
The height of the rail and rain head is marked according to the users' height and the ceiling height, and the tiles are drilled with a tile bit.
Mixer
The offset connectors are screwed in and levelled, and the mixer is fitted with new seals.
Rail and showers
The rail is fixed to the wall, and the rain shower head, hose and hand shower are attached.
Testing
The water is turned on, and the diverter between the rain and hand shower, the temperature and all joints are checked.
If the thermostat no longer holds the temperature, the water turns hot one moment and cold the next, or only hot or only cold runs, the cartridge is most often to blame.
